*Johnson County Interfaith Food Pantry:
We recognize the immediate and continuing need to provide food for
those who need it in Johnson County. We have an ongoing collection
center at the church, and our members and friends staff the pantry
one day per month. Our members participate in the annual C.R.O.P.
walk in October, which supports local and regional food services.
*Faith Promise: Each year, we pledge
support above and beyond our regular giving to several worthy
organizations. In 2007, we are supporting St. Thomas Clinic,
Henderson Settlement and Mission efforts in Central Asia.
*Henderson
Settlement: We support this United Methodist facility
in southeastern Kentucky through periodic mission trips, financial
gifts and the collection of Campbell’s soup labels.
*Supporting Johnson County’s Children:
We collect school supplies in August and mittens and hats at
Christmas to provide assistance to local students. We collect yarn
and provide it to an individual in the church who knits hats for
premature babies for local hospitals.
*Fletcher
Place: Each Thanksgiving we collect food and other
needed materials for this Indianapolis ministry dedicated to
breaking the cycle of poverty through the compassion of Jesus
Christ. (
*St.
Thomas Clinic: Members of our church volunteer at
this clinic, and we support the clinic through our missions giving.
*Annual Fish Fry: This event, held
each April, generates funds for mission efforts locally and around
the world.
