What Is Under the Son, Anyway?
Under the Son is a worshipping community where the goal and hope is
that each of us will be real and who we are without pretense, and
that we will see Jesus, and discover more about Him during our time
together, and that our lives will be models each day of the
unconditional love and acceptance he showed to all he met.
What Sunday Looks Like at Under the Son
At about 10:30 am, coffee and yummy snacks will appear - come early
and have some breakfast! Listen to music, read the paper, meet new
friends and catch up with others or spend time in personal prayer if
you like. You'll feel right at home from the very start.
At about 11:15 am, the worship gathering begins with some singing.
You can experience worship
in a personal way and in a unique style with music, meditation and
prayer, thought-provoking video, messages and discussion, creative
expression, Communion and fellowship. We encourage questions - and
can promise we won't always have the answers! Worship will usually
end around 12:15 pm.
Children are welcome - we encourage you to allow them to be a part
of worship. We do have a play space where they can hang out for
awhile if they want to.
How Can I Get Involved?
Just show up! We invite your ideas, your suggestions and your
participation. Got an idea for a study or class? Let us know and
we'll help you get it started. Have a desire to help someone in your
neighborhood? Others might be willing to join you. Under the Son
will change shape and grow based on your ideas, your needs and your
willingness to jump in with both feet to create a place where Jesus
is at the center of all we do.
Activities for Youth and Families: There are lots
of fellowship activities and things for children to do at our main
Whiteland United Methodist Church Campus. Check these out on the
other pages of this website!
